Help

Questions,
answered plainly.

Including the ones where the honest answer is "not yet".

Getting started

What does DESIGNWORX actually do?
It scopes your project before you hire anyone. You answer a short set of questions and get a requirement report: what you are building, which professionals you need and in what order, an indicative budget range, the product categories to research, and the decisions that will most affect cost and timeline.
Do I need an account?
No. The free discovery flow runs without a login and your progress saves in your browser, so you can close the tab and come back. Signing in only matters if you want the report on another device.
How long does it take?
Around three minutes for the free report. The adaptive tier adds a few follow-up questions shaped by what you have already said.
Is my information sold to contractors?
Your details are used to send you the report and, if you ask for an introduction, to make that introduction. We do not sell contact details as leads.

The budget numbers

How is the suggested budget calculated?
From the property type, the build stage, the size you enter and a city weighting. It narrows as you answer more, and the confidence bar shows how much of that we actually know.
Why is the range so wide?
Because it is honest. A villa can be built at very different specifications for very different money. A narrow range would look more confident and be more wrong. Use it as an order-of-magnitude check, not a quotation.
My budget is below the suggested range. What now?
The report says so explicitly, with the percentage. It is workable, but it means either phasing the work or narrowing the specification — decide which now rather than during procurement, which is where budgets actually break.
Can I use this to negotiate with a contractor?
Use the BoQ tool for that. It gives you quantities line by line, which is what a contractor quotes against. A quote missing waterproofing or half the electrical points is not cheaper, it is incomplete.

Finding professionals

What does Verified mean here?
That we have worked with them directly and can speak to the work. We do not list a professional we have not dealt with, which is why some categories are still empty rather than padded out.
Why are some disciplines empty in my city?
Because we have not verified anyone in that discipline and city yet. We would rather show an empty list than an invented one. Those categories are open for applications.
Why only 50 per city?
A shortlist is useful; a phone book is not. Fifty verified profiles per city is enough choice to compare without turning the decision back into the search problem you started with.
How do I get listed?
Use the apply link on any empty category, or write to hello@onedigital.co.in. Listing means we look at your work and speak to past clients.
Do you take a commission on introductions?
Introductions are free to you as a homeowner. Our commercial relationship is with the platform side, and it never changes who we introduce you to.

The BoQ tool

What is a bill of quantities?
A line-by-line schedule of what a job physically involves — square feet of flooring, running feet of counter, number of plumbing points — before anyone prices it. It is the document that makes two quotes comparable.
How accurate are the rates?
They are indicative bands, not quotations. Rates move with city, specification, brand and site access. The quantities are the more reliable half; treat the money as a sanity check.
Can I add my own rates?
Not yet. For now, take the quantity column and put your own or your contractor's rates against it.
Can I export it?
Yes — print or save to PDF. The print view drops the navigation and gives you a clean document to take to site.

Tiers and payment

What does the adaptive tier add?
Follow-up questions generated from your specific answers rather than a fixed script, plus matched professionals and a brand shortlist for your product categories.
Is payment live?
No. The payment step is a demonstration and nothing is charged. It is clearly marked in the interface.
Is the adaptive tier really AI?
Not yet, and we would rather say so. It is a deterministic engine that reacts to your answers — it asks about heritage approvals when you flag heritage constraints, about operator standards on larger hotels, about phasing order when you say you are phasing. Genuine model-generated questions need a server, which is the next build step.
