Most bathroom failures are drainage failures wearing a tile.

Everything else in a bathroom can be changed later. This cannot.

It is the cheapest line to cut and the first one you notice.

Photograph the walls before they are tiled. It is the cheapest insurance in a build.

Not in the middle of the roof. At the edges, the junctions and the penetrations.

One cracks along the joints. One cracks in the middle. Knowing which failure you are buying is the whole decision.

The finish is a coating. What matters is the metal underneath it.

This is the cheapest hour of planning in the whole project and the one most often skipped.
